Château Campet

is located in the village of Saint-Caprais-de-Bordeaux, one of the most charming terroirs in the Cadillac-Côtes de Bordeaux appellation.

The property’s gravel and clay slopes are perfectly suited to the production of fine wines. This is a magnificent château, known for the elegance and purity of its wines. Pierre Castel’s great nephew Paul-Henri Parlange heads up the winemaking operation, overseeing the production of this consistently flawless, modern wine.

Château Campet

The Cabernet-Sauvignon that thrives on the property’s clay gravel slopes makes up a significant proportion of the blend, lending the wine its characteristic boldness and elegant tannic structure. In pursuit of optimal ripeness, Château Campet offers intense aromas of dark fruit and spice. Initially firm and well-coated, the wine becomes increasingly lively, combining power, finesse and silkiness.

" I was born at this property, which was acquired by my grandfather in 1950. He was a pharmacist by trade. He just wanted to enjoy living in this environment, and the vines were entrusted to a neighbouring farmer. As for me, I always found them fascinating. I studied viticulture and oenology, and after finishing my studies in 2006 I decided to make a career of it. We started by renovating the winery and barrel store, which had become a dumping ground. Eventually, we were able to start making wine here at the Château, for the first time in 66 years !"
